The CM guys were discussing a meal on fb I think?
Yep seen that but apart from Craig helping out with local pub knowledge no takers that I can see from our lot :)

I may be up for it. Have been close to cancelling due to my garage getting flooded. Just going through everything now, hopefully I can still come.

Lots of roads still shut round here

Ah right. We escaped yesterdays rain; we actually went out for a walk and didn't get wet

Hope the garage is sorted and you make it.

We were touch and go too. The sump is currently off the DET as it was leaking badly. Josh has found a gasket and is fitting it today.

Thanks Steve, If we don’t get any more rain I should be OK. We’ve had water pouring in through the roof (the gutters couldn’t take the volume) and under the door. We’ve come out ok so far compared to the rest of the town. Many cottages are completely flooded, roads have broken up and many are closed as a precaution. At the other side of the hill is Whaley Bridge and the whole town has been evacuated as there’s a risk the reservoir’s damm may collapse. What happened to that sunshine from a few days ago :w

I’d heard a few hundred were being evacuated but that was a few hours ago..still a few hundred too many.

Had a quiet look around Loton today, searching for my lost Mojo. No heritage machinery so looks like I'll have to do next season in the Racy Red Bakery Truck.

Grape vine says the Scim record was improved upon, so that's another gee-up fer yer wedgey pilots/spanner wranglers.

Nice t' meet familiar faces.

Oh dear! Any damage to the trailing arm mounts or just the arm itself?

Need to evaluate tomorrow, but I may have bent chassis. I hit a bank at speed (sideways) and ended up on the top of it. It was quite a sudden stop. Glad I was wearing HANS!!!

Best case is rear arm and front upright and a bit of glassing and hammering. Worst case, replacement chassis. It won’t be done for Curbs.

Annoying thing was, I was half a second up on my PB when I took a tight line at museum over the painted rumble strip. On acceleration the lsd spun me round into the bank. I have the in car vid, I’ll post it tomorrow.
