Are you sure you are still seeing one? It may be your browser remembering and returning background saved info
I haven't looked at this ad before I copy and pasted the item number 303476742270, so yes I am positive I am seeing the ad for the first time. It looks like a black Se 5/5a with a gold stripe and no bumpers. Don't have Facebook, don't like Facebook, don't trust Facebook, apparently Facebook has just been hacked again.

Trevor, my browser can`t find the originals that I looked at when Dave first put the warning up.
Very strange.
I have history of having looked at rda1404 items for sale, but nothing there, I think my browser has deleted them.

Just copy and pasted this one 303476742270 and it's still there at £900. This one 303477377351 I did the same and it says Item not found.
Regards Terry H
this is a genuine advert he altered the price and mistakenly listed it twice, which is why it is still showing as an auction.

Terry, I totally agree about Facebook, but like many dodgy things in life (including restoring scimitars 😁) it has its uses. Just use it but put no personal information on it and don't download from it, have no 'friends' and you're relatively safe!

Does the SE5 Registrar need any information about this car . I'm reasonably local to it here in Newport, though the photo's in the ad place the car at two different houses. One is [Admin removed] the other is unknown at the moment. I'm willing to get in touch with the owner if required.

Is this guy at it again. Same ad style with a different user name https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/274270082988?ul_noapp=true This same ad was up the last time with a different user name. Hundreds of ads covering anything from Hessian sacks  to boats.

I reported this fake series of ads yesterday evening, I'm disappointed to see that they've not been removed yet. Up till recently e bay seemed to be getting better at removing fake ads pretty quickly. It's always a bit concerning to see one that's got bids from the unwary!

the GTE and GTC that initially started this thread have appeared four times over the last week offered for sale by different user accounts but same style of advert, each time they are one of several thousand different vehicles offered by the same seller. Ebay have removed them sometimes quite quickly sometimes not so. Unfortunately it is a never-ending battle for ebay, with accounts having poor password selection and fraudsters easy access to email addresses that need no id verification, unfortunately it is profitable for these scammers otherwise they would not do it.

I wonder if the address at the bottom of the ads is the correct address for the seller or is it just an address they have plucked out of thin air and the person actually living at the address is unaware of what is happening involving this address. The address is real according to Google Earth. If I lived local to it I would give the door a knock and ask to have a look at one of the Rover P6's for sale.

This is amusing if it wasn't serious.! If you check how many vehicles they supposedly have for sale you wonder why ebay don't pick it up! I've sent so many scammer reports to Ebay about this person when the ads keep reappearing that ebay messaged me to ask me to stop. I responded by asking them to stop the scammer.....haven't heard back but suspect ebay will do nothing but take the current ads down and they'll be back with another crass name next week!
