Ford EFL90 oil filter needed, must be WHITE not black

Post by AJL Electronics » Mon Sep 09, 2019 10:31 am

I have a customer who own a "Concours" Ford and bought an EFL90 from me. Unfortunately, Ford changed manufacturers (as well as increasing the price) and they are now black. This is no good for my customer who wants to return it.

I have spoken to Ford and they have been unable to find a white NOS anywhere, so here is my plea to anyone who might have one on the shelf? Happy to pay for it or exchange with a black one with a cash topup.

Painting isn't an option as the information labels are screen printed rather than a label that can be removed and replaced.

“Dent on top”

That’s not going to cut it on a concours Ford :D

It's also on auction! I need a solution to offer today ideally, or I will have to give a refund. As my middle name is "Arkwright", that option is not one I savour!

I’d just give him a refund Andy - as Steve says, Ford tax will soon put the price of white NOS through the roof.

Be careful about Ebay filters....there are a lot of fakes out there (not suggesting that one is though). Try Ford rally sport, it's where I got mine from.

Paul is out of stock, but I have been offered a small number by a club member, which I intend to accept.

Thanks for everyone's help.
