Club traders then if it fail quickly you can get another under guarantee - 2nd hand ones you buy at a risk.

If it was the same as something else I doubt the Club Traders would have forked out to have it remanufactured themselves, as they did.

A Triumph one might fit the hole but I doubt it will work right.

Graham Walker in Chester or Queensbury Road Garage in Kettering - commonly known as GW or QRG - are the main 2. Phone is probably best for either to be honest.
GW - 01244 381777
QRG - 01536 513351

Petrol tank sender?

Funnily enough, I just received my sender unit from qrg today (thanks nigel).

I think it's been written on these forums before, but if you get the sender with three electrical tabs and you don't have a low fuel warning light, you can easily wire one in with a live from any ignition controlled circuit and the make/break earth from the sender. See 6a wiring diagram.

Just an update on fitting the sender....
The new (plastic) unit is thicker than the pressed metal one and try as I might (with tank in place) I couldn't get the clip on. My solution was to grind the three slopes down a very small amount and then it fitted perfectly. Perhaps with the tank off, I could have exerted more pressure.

Added.....of course this was with a new clip ring and rubber seal.
