heater control knobs

Post by housemartin » Sat Oct 12, 2019 11:45 pm

Good Evening,
Does anyone know which pats bin the se5 rotary heater control knobs were sourced?
One of mine had a cracked the centre screw on button and it has now been lost.
Someone did mention MG for the controls, but they use a different button.
I have yet to try QRG or GW but suspect they will not have any as my last inquiry about small parts has been met with a no.
Thanks
Dan

Ford Zephyr mk3. I don't know if they were fitted to anything else as well?

Did you manage to find the part for your heater control?
If not I may be able to help. Which part do you need, the black screw on ring, or the clear centre piece, or both?

...The interior door 'pulls' (handles) look vaguely familiar, as well... :) ...Is my SE5 the only one to have round knobs, I wonder - sorry haven't got a piccy to hand; could take one & post it though, if of interest... :?:

SE5 parts ,Door pulls are Ford Anglia or Mk 1 Cortina so maybe the same as MK3 Zephyr , window winder handles and inner door release handles are from Anglia and Cortina and maybe other Fords of the era .The thick plastic washers behind these handles are again from the same car , although early cars used grey washers so you can also use Mk 2 Cortina washers as although the handles are different the washers are the same . There are 2 different washers used per car , 2 are tapered and 2 are not , I think you need 4x flat for a SE5.
