Yes you're probably right, I think you'd need to build an extension... :)

I'll be towing my 1912 Crossley LL engine to Holland and back in May next year, I figure it should tow better and be more reliable than my Landy.

I should have taken a picture of us getting on the Liverpool boat, with one scimitar towing another scimitar whilst on a trailer being towed by a van.
Actually the trailer with the scimitar on it was doing the towing.

The first post in this thread is my favourite post on the whole forum. What a thing!!! I want one badly.

im now on the look out for a trailer tent. 8)

The idea of cutting up another scim to make some sort of sleeping area was a little daft and as it turns out, more difficult than first thought. :w

Knowing me i would of bought one with the intention of chopping it and probably ended up putting it back on the road whislt spending a small fortune in the process.

Do SS1s count?
I used a Portafold, see link below, sadly the fur fabric was ditched by SWAMBO (probably a wise move with hind sight?)
http://www.portafold.co.uk/index.html

as hinted on other side might be for sale, i will even wash it!

Nice topic!

As the scimitar is only due here tomorrow I will post an old picture of our constructam caravan.
It will be hitched up to the GTE and travelling the UK next year, I'm sure.

Plans are to spray the GTE Aquamarine, also the bottom part of the van. We'll see.

Nice, good idea on the colour scheme. That will look wicked. Saw a chopped Morris Minor trailer on M40 today, looked very cool.
