Re: What cars did you see today?

On the way to the New Year's Day 'dook' in Broughty Ferry, Dundee, first saw (but only briefly from a distance) a nice looking Jensen Interceptor - may have been metallic grey - then closer to the 'dook' saw this... http://i1032.photobucket.com/albums/a408/petermacmillan/Scimitars/Others/IMG_0406_zp...

Re: Original pre '80 SE6 wanted for major movie

I had thought the same, but it says Colin Firth and Nicole Kidman play the main character and his wife in later life - presumably around 1980.

Re: Forum Mobile Theme

Mobile theme looks great. Thanks for putting this in place. I'm now far more likely to browse the forum on my mobile. (No more zooming in on each page.) Great work.

Re: How many times have you broken down

I used to average about one AA/RAC call-out per year when I ran my 5A as our everyday car (which we did for about 7 years in the 90's). You can do the arithmetic. :)

That third car featured in one of the classic car mags very recently. Thought it looked intriguing. Can't for the life of me remember what it is though!

Re: Nr Halifax

A few years back I visited the (at the time) HBOS office in Copley, very near Halifax. Was pleased to see a white SS1 enter the staff car park. Anyone on here?

Re: White 6B in Dundee

That's some trip, and you still had a long road ahead of you when I saw you. Glad you made it without any problems. A Scimitar on the road round here is a rare occurrence, hence my excitement when I spotted yours up ahead of me. There was a bit of erratic driving on my part to catch up with you befo...

White 6B in Dundee

White A-reg 6B (I assume) heading west on Dundee Kingsway - probably heading out of town - at about 9:15 this morning, with (what looked like) a surf board in a sleeping bag on the roof!!

Looked very nice.

Re: Bad spelling

Advertised in local Scot-Ads paper recently. "RELIANCE Semester 1964 petrol, historic vehicle, unfinished project, spares or repair, good looking car, good engine, good gearbox, £500 ono, Tel:07547 457426 or 07729 511104, Forfar". No joke! I wonder if they've had many takers!

Re: Tayside Classic Motor Show

Thought I'd show a small selection of the interesting cars at this show. My own coupe. http://i1032.photobucket.com/albums/a408/petermacmillan/Tayside%20Classic%20Car%20Show%202010/SDC12584.jpg 5a from Stirling, I believe. http://i1032.photobucket.com/albums/a408/petermacmillan/Tayside%20Classic%20C...

Re: Scottish Scimitar Owners, your RSSOC needs you!!!

No sign of the Callander classic show happening this year. Last 2 times I was there the rain was torrential all day. Not fun. Perhaps the Scottish weather ended up killing it off. The Pre-67 Ford show at Bridge of Allan is usually good. Glamis is still a great show - especially if lucky with the wea...
