Ben's SS1 - Ti Sprint Car

Looking great Ben. Have you got any photos of the radiator install? I'll take some next garage visit (Tuesday night). I mounted it centrally on the shroud and installed a tee next to the bottom take off. I kept the twin st steel pipe shortening one end, I reused the top hose by cutting it and insta...

Ben's SS1 - Ti Sprint Car

First test up the drive after clutch and all metal work rebuilt from my kiss with the barriers at Blyton.

Few little bits to sort plus panels.

Roadgoing silhouette

My plan is to run 1b tyres in 2020. But if I modify the car to take wider tyres I only want to do it once. What size did you run Nick this year? I am thinking either Extreme or Avons based on what I've seen :D If I do modify to take 13 in a wide width I might try a track day with some slicks to see ...

There are plenty of RG cars out there with widened arches or wearing JDM style extensions. Peter’s car has spaced wings and entered as RG without any issues. Strictly legal or not, scrutes don’t seem too bothered. Thought so Steve.... if it's good for the comp sec etc Just need some 13" wheels now

I’d say no - although I’ll admit to a little tweak on the rear arches with a hair dryer.....
Yes then🤔

As above in roadgoing can the front & rear wings be spaced out to fit wider tyres under the arches?

Ours shown below. Extinguisher pull does tend to let water into the outer cable and can seize if car is outside.
Any ideas where one could purchase one of those recessed plastic flange cup things for the wing pull handle?

MSA BATTERY ISOLATORS

Hi

I’m going to install a MSA battery isolator on the sprint ss1. Any thoughts on best compliant position of the actual isolator and remote operators cable?

Also same for remote extinguisher cable where’s best / easiest solution?

Cheers
