Intermittent hard/ soft brake pedal

Which type/make of servo is it???. The early Lockheed servo`s had a tendency to mess with the pedal due to a sticking shuttle valve. Easily cured by removing on of the small O rings, in fact Lockheed sent out a service bulletin about the problem IIRC. Been discussed on here a few times, look for Br...

Intermittent hard/ soft brake pedal

I took the Scimmy (SE5a 4sp/OD) for a 100 mile spin last week. The car ran quite well but the brakes were a bit strange. Beverly now and then (noticeable in town) the brake pedal was rock hard. When I just tapped it it returned to normal. Occasionally, when I pressed the brake pedal it felt soft and...

Routing of speedo cable

Thanks for the above advice and useful pictures. It was a pig of a job. In the end I fed the speedo cable from under the car directly up into the bulkhead and after removing the speedo through a small aperture into the dash area. The problem was exacerbated by the fact that the apertures were only f...

Routing of speedo cable

Hi - I am trying to replace the speedo cable on my SE5a (manual O/D). Whats the best way to do it? I have joined the old and the new cables together and was hoping to pull the new cable in to the area under the dash. However, the plastic clip that attaches to the speedo seems very large compared to ...

1969 Se5 Webasto folding sunroof??

I am in process of fitting a new headlining and vinyl cover to the Tudor Webasto roof on my SE5a. The rear plate has rusted away in the corners and has now been rebuilt with new metal. The cable guides are missing. Has anyone fitted a mechanism to act as a cable guide? Just interested in ideas and h...
