My GTC's

Chassis Number 404. (Current car)

Colour :- Subaru WRX Blue

Engine:-  Ford Cologne V6 (60 degree) 2800 cc, 150 BHP

Transmission:- Ford 4 speed manual with overdrive on 3rd & 4th

Modifications :-

1 3/4" exhausts, Tubular Manifolds, Weber DGAS Carburettor, Jaguar XJS Mirrors, Revolution 5 Spoke 7X15" Wheels, Leather Interior, Colour coded bumpers, Adjustable GAZ Shocks, Drilled & Grooved Discs, Gas flowed stage 1 unleaded heads.

History:-

No.404 was built in 1984 and is one of just 70 cars with a factory galvanised chassis. I bought the car in April 2010 unseen on eBay. It was in quite a sorry state when it arrived and required complete refurbishment. Since purchase it has received :- new hood, refurbished interior with new leather and carpets, GAZ fully adjustable shock absorbers, 250lb R 275lb F springs, complete brake system, refurbished suspension with new bushes, engine mounts, stainless fuel tank, recon radiator, refurbished carb', repairs to fibreglass body, complete colour change respray, new lights all round, rechromed fuel cap, polished stainless window frames, new door handles & locks, steering lock, heated windscreen, new door cards and interior panels, chrome sill plates, silicone hoses, alloy rocker covers, new wheels & tyres etc etc etc.

Modified Ford Cologne V6 (60 degree) 3500 cc, 195BHP @ 5000rpm, 243lbft torque @ 3000rpm

Transmission:-

Ford 4 speed manual with overdrive on 3rd & 4th

Modifications :-

2" exhausts, Tubular Manifolds Weber DGMS Carburettor, 3.5ltr Stroked Cologne engine, Jaguar XJS Mirrors

This is my GTC as I bought it

The paint was falling off in strips, so I covered up what I could with thick vinyl stripes. Not a good look, but an improvement.

Once the budget allowed, I stripped the car car down and sent the rolling shell for a respray in BMW Mini Electric Blue
