A great day's motorsport yesterday... but boy are these hard work! And the Ross Traders has the reputation of being one of the toughest - not really on the cars, but on the whole package asked of the navigator especially. And it attracts the best crews, so if you want to trouble the leader board you just cannot afford any mistake...
So congratulations to Gavin and Carrie who finished 8th overall in his SE5a. That's a tremendous performance, clocking under 16 mins of penalties. Steve and I felt we did pretty well in the Sabre Six, only to find at the end that we'd missed a single Intermediate Time Control (of maybe 50+ over the day) which alone cost us a whopping 30 mins of penalties. We finished with a total of 66 mins penalties, down in 45th place but pretty well satisfied given the standard of the opposition.
