Well, you seem to have narrowed it down to a Ford engine at least!

Is it to be a road or track car?

Road car that can be sprinted, the ol’mans retirement project.

He will get to the stage that long distance towing and crawling around under trailers isn’t a great idea..

As such not too low, 5 speed gearbox and two seats are a must.

Whilst there are some excellent non Ford engines to choose from, the motorsport classes available and resale value implications have to be considered.

Is that cylinder scored or is it just the light?

You can hang that gasket on a wall somewhere to remind yourself not to buy one of those again...

So fancy Dan HG & a re-map then?
