SE5 Filler neck hose - HELP !!

The neck is what people called Pot metal , Aka Mazac or Zamac , want to weld that no chance . As Jim said looking at the Tank neck looks a more likely prospect to alter . Whatever you do you are restricted on space if you want to refit the inner panel it’s not insurmountable just bloody difficult .

I can understand why Reliant altered the cap after 500 cars

SE5 Filler neck hose - HELP !!

I have the same combination of vertical cap and stainless tank with the pipe coming at 45% as you do.

I bought a hose which has 45% bend, fluoro lined, and different diameters at each end from here: http://www.autosiliconehoses.com/silico ... lbows.html

It needs to be fluoro-lined, otherwise it will grow in length with the fuel vapour. I think this is an option you can specify on any of those hoses.

It's still a difficult fit requiring lowering the tank to get it on if I remember rightly.

thinking of taking the tank out, and getting the neck reshaped to suit, with the angles as they are, can't see filling being very easy otherwise.........
