today wasnt meant to happen really, but seeing as we have to wait for the quaife diff and the sun was shining we decided to get it on it's wheels a bit earlier than planned. This means we can roll the chassis under the body for the first time...when the chassis rubber arrives anyway. so hopefully wednesday evening we will get a proper look at this mongrel hybrid. unfortunately unless the body weighs 400kg or more it looks like we will need shorter springs, much shorter ...its supposed to be 3 1/2" ride height...its probably twice that as it sits right now...onwards and forwards eh

i'm making this up as i go along

I am, but Dana build powerlok, so I I thought you were refering to the old Jag Powerlok as the Dana.

the one we have works on friction/clutch discs on the planet gears...power lock uses rollers and ramps...apparently our type is available in 40 odd different splines...well 7 or 8 at least. it just gives darryl the excuse to buy a quaife tbh...apparently they broke the test rig trying to break one ...at 22500 nm !
