when is it Ok to disown your kids?

Post by CNHSS1 » Sun Apr 17, 2016 4:34 pm

I fear i may have to disown both my children. I love them dearly and despite that, i fear i have to sever all ties with them due to the most heinous of crimes.

They both like MikeyBikeys GTE.

Finn came back from Loton as passenger in Mikes car and Tristan was taken for a blast after dinner. Both loved the car, claiming it was cool, and loving the noise.

Its a shame and i shall miss them both

Irrefutable evidence of Tristan, in his 'race overalls' and wearing Mikes shades

Craig, they are welcome to come and live in Cornwall and muck around on the beach and eat ice cream.

:)

They are both fantastic and a credit to you and Claire.

PS They recognise cool when they see it, unlike their dad :) Fantastic weekend mate.

Count your blessings Craig. Commercial vehicle with boat anchor engine or not, it is as least a RWD that they have taken a shine too.

That is at least the safety of the Reliant family. No scrabbly front wheel nonsense here.

P.S
I agonised about roundel style and location and Mike prints off a couple sheets of pt.72 arial for his race number. Pah !

Easy to place numbers in windows when you have a greenhouse worth of glass area RR ;-)

I must admit I was embarrassed by my numbers. Previously the numbers, stuck to doors, took my paint off and so i was loathe to do that again considered the paint was so new.

But at least the glass allows the spectators a birds eye view of the idiot behind the wheel grinning like a Cheshire cat as he waves to the crowd with the arse of the car (as Ben so succinctly put it :)

Agreed all numbers, even the proper lo tack ones, are too strong for paintwork, both original or modern painted on grp cars and you always risk removing paint. Always warm with hair dryer/heatgun before attempting removal.
Personally proper vinyl door squares/roundels are best, as numbers will come off and only leave glue residue which can be cleaned off with thinners or brake cleaner. Ive used cheap doors squares but they are too good a surface, the pukka ones from merlin or tweeks have a slightly satin finish.

Often worth wiping over with WD40 rag before sticking on nunbers so they release easier.

Top tip. Remove numbers soon after event, same day or warm next day, donr leave on for months (like ive done...) as they are a total ar5e ache to remove
