Motorsport Torture

Post by MikeyBikey » Fri Jun 05, 2015 7:13 am

Went to Silverstone yesterday on a corporate day cascade.

450 miles round trip/ 7.5 hrs in the car. :| Ho hum I thought, at least get to see some cars :D :D

Turned out we were sat in a darkened hangar next to the track watching corporate presentations for 3 hours

I could hear the LM cars being tested as they went down the start straight over the presenter... . It was like torture. So close but so far :( :(

And then I came home.

Is we sideways yet...

I got tickets to the British GP once, complete with Grandstand seats. Really boring day. It was the year when there wasn't a single overtake in the entire race. Silverstone's a very boring track to watch from as you can't see much of it. Tracks like Mallory are much better as you can see so much more of the race.

Much prefer drag racing, mind. 10,000bhp and 3.1 on the Richter scale takes a lot of beating!

My boundless enthusiasm is unfortunately not matched by either time or budget.

K&Ns at discounted prices.

Alloy radiators coming soon.
