today is the 20 year anniversary of the Imola Grand Prix weekend where Roland Ratzenberger and Ayrton senna died in separate incidents.
doesn't seem that long ago, until you look at pics of the cars and they look archaic in performance design and safety design. At least their respective deaths moved F1 safety (and all motorsport safety really) to where the cars are much safer for driver and spectators alike.
gonna watch the senna film again tonight I think
