Croft to lose test days/track days?

Post by DavePoole » Tue Jan 27, 2009 2:16 pm

Although, I have never been to Croft, it does make me mad when I read things like this. As someone else has said in the comments below the article " it could open to floodgates for similar complaints/actions at any other circuit".

i think one of the complainants were married to one of the circuit owners at one time and the legal action was taken after a nasty divorce case i believe...

EDIT found it
"Croft Promo-Sport Ltd has a leasehold interest in the circuit, which is managed by Croft Classic and Historic Motor Sports Ltd (CCHM). CCHM was set up in 1994 by Mr Jimmy Wilson - who was married to Jill Wilson between 1987 and 1994 - along with Trevor Chaytor-Norris and his wife Katherine, who is the owner of the Croft Motor Circuit. "

'tit for tat', 'sour grapes' anyone

I reckon or at least hope that they will now have a much bigger niose problem from angry bypassers.

Apparently they were also turned down for planning permission to turn there home into a hotel - another reason for the sour grapes ?

a have to agree with Dave that it could have serious repercussions for all other UK motorsport venues, especially as now a legal precedent has been set.
