Overwriting

Post by myredscimitar » Tue Dec 06, 2016 10:48 pm

Help!!!

Windows 8. I have just ( somehow!! ) changed a setting somewhere so that if I go back to insert or change text instead of just simply inserting the new stuff it overwrites existing text.

I remember making the same mistake years ago, but can't remember how to change back. I've just spent a fruitless hour trying to find the way back with no joy.

Any ideas?

Keith

Press the Insert key on the keyboard (as it sounds like it's in Overwrite mode instead)?

Never try and argue with an idiot. They drag you down to their level, then beat you based on experience.

Thanks Phil, you got it in one. Now all back to normal service.
