Scimitar Coupe Website not working?

Post by DARK STAR » Tue Sep 01, 2015 6:54 am

I have found a strange problem with Matt's site recently,
on my Mac I can't access it at all, and on grandson's PC the link takes me to ... the Curborough site.
Has anyone else had a problem?
Any explanations?

Haven't tried it on the iPad but on the windows laptop it goes to curbs site as you say (I trawled all of the reliant sites last night looking for that ad!)

Thinking about it, it may be the re-direction that disturbs the Mac.
Matt also doesn't reply to e-mails, hasn't he finished moving house yet?

He moved a few weeks back? Still unpacking judging by his Facebook ;)

Think I saw a picture posted on the RSSOC Facebook page though?

Just tried his site and I get the same - redirect to the Curborough page.

I spoke to Matt at curbs he said that he was having a few issues it's something to do with the curbs website. But it's the same issue he had a couple of years ago so he is in the process of fixing it.

Yes, I had the same issue last night - I got around it by doing a google search for "scimitar gt register". Although the first item in the results was the Curborough site, as mentioned, the second item was http://www.scimitargt.co.uk/ScimitarGT/ ... r_car.html, which seems to work, and gets you into Matt's site :)

Chris, no need to bother the grandson ... it's not working on my PC either,
I guess the website is just not available at the moment
If Matt is hosting his site on his computer rather than a provider, it might just be in a box waiting to be unpacked :?

Yes, your link works for me (on PC), Phil (and I've just re-tried my earlier link, which still works ok too?) :?

Nope, still no luck, perhaps Matt's site is anti-french?

Both links work fine on my Mac so, yes, must just be anti-French… :D

It appears I have a problem with Google.
Yesterday I was passing my friendly local computer shop and asked him to try Matt's site, it worked perfectly.
This morning I find Google is not working for me (to search something else), so I try Yahoo, no problem.
Then I have the bright idea to search Matt's site with Yahoo - it works.
I wonder if I can search Google with Yahoo to re-load it ...

PS I wonder if the admins would like to re-name or just erase all this rubbish from what was quite an interesting thread ;)

Would it be possible for people to not hijack someone's thread about wanting details of a car that's for sale with stuff about computers not playing ball, good manners and all that :)
