MP3 ripping software...sorted :)

Post by swoakes » Mon Jun 11, 2018 4:53 pm

Looking for MP3 ripping software that can burn CDR discs with MP3 files that will play on a car head unit.

Windows media player will not do it and I don't have any other pre loaded SW on my laptop that will either.

Looking for something cheap or even free  and easy to use

Any suggestions :?:

I beleive it does Jim (2006 Mini)

I think it's down to the speed of burning and the bit rate. Media player has very few burn settings you can adjust.

Why not use the Bluetooth adapter that came with the car?

And yet you can be bothered to spend hours downloading software and ripping files to CDs to get a limited range of music that'll repeat round every couple of hours...the mind boggles

Depending on the MP3 quality you can get 6-10 album's on 1 CDR so that's more than a couple of hours...anyway I like the challenge but so far I'm failing

I-tunes is what I use for CDR's in the Saab Steve, just create a playlist of what you want on desktop then burn that to CDR but first of course make sure I-Tunes has ripped in MP3 format and not their lossless version, that doesn't work ask me how I know

OK just burned an iTunes play list and the head unit now plays the MP3's :)

Just need to have a play and see if I can now get tracks into album folders and bring over the tags so that the head unit knows track name etc.

Cheers everyone :!:
