Scimitar SS1 class change

Up until now the Scimitar SS1 was class 5.
Front engine,rear wheel drive production sports car.
Now due to a rule change some SS1's will be class 7.
The Association of classic trials clubs (ACTC) have decided that only Scimitars with the original engine block ie CVH or Nissan will remain class 5.
All other engines will be class 7.which is basically kit cars.
Class 7 cars are generally considered as more capable hill climbers ,short wheel base,driver and passenger over drive axle,high ground clearance and are lighter.
These cars attract more restarts on sections and some sections are class 7 and 8 only .which means flipping slippery steep sections.
The current class 5 championship winning car happens to be a Zetec powered SS1. :roll:

CA18DE or even a CA20DE could probably be built to give you the torque you want (ie more than you currently have!) using an original turbo block? Or play with the cam and diff on your 1.9 CVH?
