Lands End Trial 2019

Post by alan.wells » Tue Apr 16, 2019 9:46 pm

Hi Folks,
Starting late evening Good Friday, 23.18hrs, John and I are competing in Class O, our start is from Bridgewater control, following the coast and covering over 270 miles, hopefully arriving at the finish in Hayle around our expected time of 15.30 Saturday, this is our first L E Trial for a few years due to a poorly 1934 MG PA, but we think all should be ok this time, fingers crossed. I will report on our antics on our return home at the end of the month. There is one SS1 competing in the main Trial a one in Class O with us.

Good Luck Alan!

As well as the two SS1s, I see there's a Reliant Rialto in your class as well!

Lands End Trial 2019

Post by alan.wells » Sun Apr 28, 2019 10:47 am

Well Folks,
A short update
We are now back up in Lancashire after a brilliant trial in Devon & Cornwall, the weather was exceptionally dry and warm for us all, we had cleared all our hill tasks except for our last hill, which class O had the option of Blue hills 1 an easy hill, or the notorious Blue Hills 2, well after travelling over 400 miles from home, it was a no brainer not to attempt the Blue hills 2. We thought that the car had been sorted having climbed previous difficult hills, but alas our attempt was floored just after the slab, and the MG decided not to go, a fail, so the long winch from the top of the hill was attached to the car and we sedately climbed the hill to the top.
YouTube has a lots of video's, titled MCC Lands End Trial Blue hills 2 2019 or replaces BH2 with Crackington.
We saw 3 ss1 and a 3 wheeler competing .
