"As Hagley and District Light Car Club are no longer willing to manage the sprint for us and I have had no luck finding another Club willing to take on the organising of the event the committee have decided that we should take back the organisation. To this end we are looking for a Sprint Coordinator to take on the main duties. Ideally this should not be a current competitor but someone interested in the sport. If you are interested please refer to the advert and contact me directly if you would like to discuss.
"ScimFest Sprint Coordinator is required
A Sprint Coordinator is required to ensure the smooth running of the Scimfest Sprint.
Duties will include:
Prepare and distribute supplementary and final regulations
Coordinate entries including fees
Promote with invited clubs
Organise signing on
Coordinate volunteers and marshals
Coordinate with Motorsport UK
Appoint and coordinate key individuals as appropriate including: Clerk of the Course, Secretary of the Meeting, Chief Scrutineer, MSA Timekeepers, Chief Marshal, Rescue Unit & Paramedics, MSA Steward, Club Stewards, Club Safeguarding Officers, Commentator.
Coordinate other support services
Ensure all facilities are available on the day
Ensure all equipment is properly distributed around the track at the start of the meeting and returned at the end.
Purchase and organise trophies.
Inform local Police/Hospital etc.
Record all duties undertaken to develop a “Process Document”
A one-off payment of £600 will be made after successful completion of the event as recompense for the time involved.
A suitable person will be PC literate and especially be able to use Excel. If you need any future details please contact Peter Smith, Competition Secretary.
