Lydden Hill

Just a heads up to anyone in the area, Lydden Hill have put in a planning application for some new buildings, extra access roads and to allow additional use of the circuit for non-race activities.

Dover District Council will be considering the plans on 30th January at their council chamber at 6pm. It would probably be a good idea for anyone with an interest in keeping the circuit alive to make an appearance and show support.

As with most circuits, Lydden has faced its fair share of opposition, and I’m sure they’ll be there to vocally oppose any improvements that may keep the place going any longer than necessary!

It looks as though management are trying to earn a bit more money from the place outside of their allowed race days, which can only be a good thing in my mind.
