Wiscombe, Gurston or Castle Combe anyone?

Post by swoakes » Sun Jul 23, 2017 9:59 am

We need to get another event in, in the DET for the season.

Is anyone proposing to do and of these events :?: Don't really want to be anywhere on our own if we can avoid it :)

Steve,

As the car and me are now sorted I anticipate doing a couple of events.

Prescott probably, possibly Castle Combe. Without being over dramatic this could well the last RSSSC event.

Can't do Prescott this year.

I'd be up for Combe and I think RR was considering it, Josh is less keen as it clashes with freshers at Uni and it is very late in the year.

Yes I think unless we get considerable commitment for competing in the SSSC next year prior to or at ScimFest that will be the end of the Championship as we know it today....very sad :(

Goodwood. Debden. Shelsley ? Let's not pick favorites. Was intending to do the usual type of thread for each in the week but didn't find the time.

Very likely my season will end at curborough as we are getting into prime packing, moving and settling time.

The only ones I may be able to squeeze in are Goodwood or Prescott, which would be at a push (especially Goodwood, isn't that in Northern France somewhere  ). Otherwise Curbs will be my seventh and last one.

I only need one more after Curbs, I would like to do Goodwood but Prescott isn't too far away. Castle Combe is also tempting.

Goodwood is a great track, but tends to be pricey and is far south. Certainly one everybody should do at least once. I preferred the old June date to late September

Whilst they can be a bit "sniffy" at Prescott it is a great venue, and pretty accessible.

Not a huge fan of Shelsley

Me neither but looking at the distance to other events and the probable need to stay over combined with the fact we are going to be on our own Shelsley now looks favourite if we can get in :?

I love Shelsley hill, uber fast and scary. Love wiscombe hill, not fussed on the paddock, combe is great fun prescotts is a pretty good hill but the paddock at the top is dreadful and the organisers need a reality check

Just realised that Shelsely is a CM event too so its even more of a favourite now. Not sure how likely we are to get in though :?:
