And they are selective about who attends. Early entry is not a guarantee of being invited.

It’s not an event I can get too excited about TBH. Thirty odd seconds on track x4 and it’s all over. Not to mention their unique approach to practice runs

Having said that, I think it’s one everyone should do for the experience. But there are better venues offering more track time.

Bags of history, forehead slicing paddock roofs fer the likes o' Corky, Craig et al and as fer the track, well it's two kinks, two corners and two chequer boards.

Ignore Corky he's a tight arse! Likes Anglesey and Aintree as he likes to get more tyre wear and fuel usage in a day ;-)

People berate Shelsley as it only has 4 corners of which two are just kinks, but I love it! It's simple enough to learn, is steeped in history (oldest race venue in the world still used today) and is rather more technical than the nay sayers will have you believe. It does favour powerful cars though to be fair as it's morw difficult the faster you go, the exponentially greater the challenge. 90mph+ over the finish is fun  and the big single seaters are doing 140+

Try it, might not be for you but better to find out what you do and don't like 8)

You need a tight arse when you see the bloody valley to the left of the track. :w

Don’t watch the YouTube videos of the crashes before you go. It slows you down..... well that’s my excuse anyway...

They do say at Shelsley you want at least 150 bhp per tonne to make the Hill challenging. Call it 200 and I agree!
