My apologies but I'm not going to be able to attend this year.

I don't have any points for discussion, except my thanks to Craig and Nick for all their hard work in organizing last season and securing the SSSCs future.

Drivers Meeting Saturday January 27th 2018 redditch

Post by scimjim » Sat Jan 27, 2018 10:14 pm

My main take home notes for this really productive meeting today for those that weren't there - compsec(s) and other attendees may wish to expand upon or deny all knowledge :D

Craig and Nick officially handed over (with thanks from all for their excellent work over the years) to Mikey Bikey and Peter Smith.

Curborough test day to be organised mid/late March.

SSSC regs and scoring to be run alongside CM this year to provide data for discussion at the next drivers meeting.

All SSSC entrants are expected to attend a CM rolling road and weigh in before their first event. There may be some flexibility to use other rolling road figures but that is the exception rather than the norm and up to CM to agree on a case by case basis. Compsec to discuss possibility of further group dates with Steve Cox.

Questions to CM through compsec rather than overloading Steve Cox individually.

SSSC Academy to continue indefinitely under the existing arrangements.

Event reports - person doing Slice write up is to be agreed/voluntold before the event.

Event reports - more emphasis on cars that the general public would recognise that we trounced - eg Phil A beat a £1m Veyron in his 1300 RG SS1, Crusty Senior went head to head with a Porsche GT3 and beat it by 11 seconds, etc.

PR - videos from forum event reports to be uploaded to youtube and the SSSC facebook page, then linked in as many places as possible (RSSOC fb pages, modified Scimitar, etc).
