Thanks for the very kind offer Phil but I will politely decline and see you Saturday. I will detail the issue in my project thread.

I get it, no one wants to drive my little SS1

I'm hoping that with the new tarmac laid, I can FINALLY put all that power down.

See you Saturday.

(Currently very fed up!)
That's a shame Peter; see you Saturday

Sorry to hear that Peter. You'll have a few volunteer to mechanics to help fix it on Saturday morning if you want to risk bringing it.

Not at all Phil I just would not want something to go wrong whilst I was at the helm!

Cedar?! No problem.

Tried doing Loggerheads flat out last year and ended up mowing grass!

Ask Craig about loggerheads. I think he went swimming there once!

Nice one Josh, wont be long before you are taking the outright class records 8)
Just the motovation i need to 'reset' my record out of your reach again  half a second is a bit too close ;-)

The new Loton tarmac does seem to have shown significant drop in times, well done Loton 8)

Wow, fantastic time Josh. Well done mate.

Phil, we said it'd be close on handicap on Saturday. It doesn't get much closer than that

Steve, is that a PB?

Roll on Curbs, can't wait !

Yes by over a second :) It wasn't exactly a smooth run I scared myself a couple of times and nearly went straight on at the top of the hill. I was amazed the run was that quick TBH. Without going wide at the top it would of been a sub 62 I reckon.

Didn't count for much though did it; less than 21 points because Josh keeps going faster

Blimey. Thought me and Corky would be close on handicap based on my rough rule of thumb of "run within 10% on on scratch to stick it to Steve" but to come out dead level I did not expect. Shame you weren't there Sunday to see how it would have panned out on take two!

The Oakes "DEbT" seems to be running well now and I expect more to come when power gets tweaked. Stood in the top paddock and watching the car practically leap over the peak before diving onto the brakes was quite something. Well sodding done to Josh for wrestling sub 58 out of the car.
Considering the spec of Batmobile vs the DEbT, I'd say a bit more development underneath and a few kilos lost will have Craig quaking in his boots.

Craig, sun soaked holidays are over-rated. Tell bro you're taking a week of R&R, tell Mrs H and the boys you've booked 'em in at Butlins, tell the forum you'll be offline due to internet issues, and don't tell anyone you'll be locked in the garage chucking the Sabre together. That new Loton tarmac has a fresh class record with your name on it matey!

Oh yes, many many thanks for putting us up over the weekend. Much obliged good Sir.

Final note. The itch to build a proper track spec SS1 is getting worse, really want to start throwing punches with the big boys :boxer:
