Loton Park 15 / 16 July 2017

Post by reliant-reviver » Fri Jun 09, 2017 8:31 pm

Loton Park speed hill climb 15th and 16th July

Who's entered then?

I sent my stuff off a good while back and only just found an email confirming entry received for the Saturday, but supposedly no forms for the Sunday. However both cheques were cashed at the beginning of this month so need to confirm what's gone on there!

Anyone still looking to enter, "discount day" comes on the 19th June with the closing date on 1st July

Entry form HERE
Regulations HERE

Had confirmation on both days. Weighing up whether or not to withdraw. Just got so much on at the moment with potential house move on the cards and back log of work for the business.

Feel duty bound to attend though so as to avoid it being a "wash-out" and of course for the belting bit of fun that is Loton. That said I feel I was pushing my (if not the Scimitars) boundaries last year on what I could achieve and the only things that've happened since then is the tyres getting older and the car slightly heavier. Could be frustrating / a recipe for spills.

Hand in your man pass and start using the Ladies loo ya big jessy R-R.

What is this forum and club coming too?? Half of emwant to bring back points, typhoid and rationing and competitors backing out of probably the best hillclimb on the country??

You have a room for Friday and Saturday Phil, will even supply breakfast, butties for lunch and an evening meal if you attend, just watch your skirt doesn't get trapped in the ss1 door though eh? ;-)

And before some bright spark points out I'm not competing this year, I'll point out I'm doing huge amounts behind the scenes to ensure you guys CAN compete, and have an annual sprint to attend whilst not lifting a finger, if it's not to inconvenient for you all...

Yes frustrated to not be competing Crusty but no point when I can barely make a gearbox last an event so I need to do summat. Need to get the bellhosuing cut shut and welded and then i have a chance :-)

All the organisational effort is wasted with no one out, or going to play elsewhere so that's the biggest frustration
Catch up soon mate, and say Hi to Mrs Pitstop :-)

Craig, organisational organisings greatly appreciated by all, I just don't think it gets said enough!

Should have known you'd pitch in though and show me up, two sprogs, a busier business and a far more broken car. I should stop whinging. I think the Harewood flog and succeding highly caffienated week caught up with me last Saturday and I was next to useless the whole day. again.

Most kind an offer of you.I should warn you I am travelling with the pit-crew again. Feel free to retract the offer in light of that! Little one should sleep through but i'll be up early giddy with excitement.

Brian, leave it too long and we may be be joining ya in Yorkshire! Moving North? Well I never... :w

Loton has been fully resurfaced top to bottom, silky smooth I believe, be interesting in the dry if faster than before?

Awesome, bring on the weekend!

I had better give the car a wash, only been out in it once since Harewood.

Unfortunately I have had to withdraw from the event as there is an issue with the TPS giving varying readings and this is causing erratic running particularly at low speed. I will arrive early Saturday with the Gazebo.
(Currently very fed up!)

Oh shucks, that's no good!

Wanna double drive my 1300? It's got no TPS, ECU, Turbo or much of anything really. On the upside it's slow enough you won't make it into the pond should you fall off the track.
