does have good exit traction then  but without an LSD the power level you've got isn't as effective as it could be. defo on your wish list I reckon.
be interesting to see if the LSD makes the rear end more planted as it did seem a little wayward, centainly compared to Jim Kings (LSD fitted, viscous ford I assume?) and Phil A's Quaife equipped car.

What rear spring rates Steve? Phil As was stock (180 lb/in) not sure of Jims

Yep - snotty has a Ford viscous LSD (ex CNH :-)) and boggo rear springs and dampers (on the list to be replaced along with fronts)

ah, so that's where the diff went!

as for springs, both Phil As and snotty are on stock rear springs and were both pretty composed (Jims antics at the wheel notwithstanding  )

ive always been a fan of controlling the front of the car and keeping the rear supple, be interesting to see what Steve C says the springs are to compare

I reckon an LSD to be worth a second on a tight track (Prescott, Curbs) , not much at a fast one like Aintree.

I ran 250 lb rears, bur liked the car stiff, 200/225 might give better traction.

How do, Steve. Nice to pop in today and see you. Forgot to tell you when talking about yer track day brakes, advice from the "wise tall ex-wedge pilot" what lives at Beoley Mansions, when yer brakes cook and yer lose 'em, park up without applying handbrake, move yer car 1/4 wheel rev every 2 mins or so to reduce the chance of warping yer discs. Worked for me. Regards, Crusty Snr.

I think they're 200lb Steve, or so the Ouzo says

BTW, thanks for the gearbox pics Craig, I'll have a closer look when I'm back home. I'm stuck with just seven inches to view on here........ Oooh err missus.

200lb according to Mr C. So looks like an LSD should be on the list for this coming winter. What are the options and has anyone got one lying around?

Just a thought, but are you allowed an LSD in roadgoing?

yep - gearbox and diff must be recognisable as original casing or words to that effect.
