Sorry guys.

Given the forecasts and Dave's offer to cancel without penalty it seemed the sensible thing to do.

If there is demand a day mid May might be possible, but not before.

Right call IMHO and better to know now, rather than tomorrow when we're all packed and loaded Nick.

I think the only chance was some rain to melt the snow.

May sounds good to me.

Hi Nick and all,

Yes, I think it's the right call to cancel. I've been over to have a look today and it's not good; although the roads are fairly clear, the track is covered. We had more snow last night and this morning and there is still ice in places. The wind is the worst as it is blowing the snow everywhere.

It is slowly defrosting, but it could freeze again tonight and safety/common sensse comes first...

I was really looking forward to catching up with you all too and watch some testing and more banter :D

Oh well, hope to see you in May if another one is arranged :D

Cheers

Nick,
Oh well I could only have come up and watched anyway (DJ was doing the driving). Hope you can perhaps get another date to rebook ?
Regards,
Viv

Drive up anyway and have a pub meet? :D
Somewhere around curbs? or Ace Cafe? Breakfast anyone?
Just an idea since everyone still seems to want to meet up

i actually have this pragmatic view that things are meant for a reason so the cancellation, whilst, is a change, is for a reason, i'm sure for the better

I was really looking forward to this, but we can't control the weather, and cancellation was the right call under the circumstances.

My only issue now, is that Loton Park will be the first time I'll drive this car since all the changes :( . Sounds like it could be a bit of an adventure

Hopefully I'll be able to make the May event and set it up for Anglesey.

I recon even Loton could be at the very least..... Bitterly cold

I will try to come along to the rebooked practice to help out if shifts allow

That's the problem Brian, they needed a rain dance to shift it

If it's suitable for everyone else 8) , and we have a choice :| Can I put in a request for a preferred date of either the 13th or 14th of May (Mon/Tues) for Curbs 2. :?:

My calendar for May is pretty full as it is, and those are the only free weekdays I have :(
