I looked at this the other day, before commenting on race cars. I thought speed events had been brought in line with other disciplines in 2017, but it doesn't seem to be that straight forward. Below are from this years Blue Book from section S (Sprints Hill Climbs and Drag Racing):
So, for me, that says cars in the standard class use a x1.7 multiplier. But all other classes use a x1.4 multiplier. It used to be x1.4 for everything. Confused? Well, I am. The wording doesn't help...

I've edited this for you Craig:
Ben looked like a prize plum as he had to wear his race boots to the restaurant for evening meal as only dry footwear he's got
It didn't half rain that day...

Standard class is new. My feeling is that they don’t want Turbos and Supercharges on anything other than 1.0ltr Fiestas and Corsas. It just rules out anything with a 1.2 TSi engineBigBobPilot wrote: ↑Fri Feb 09, 2018 10:01 pmI looked at this the other day, before commenting on race cars. Camping is free and does not need to be booked.
As I said to Paul you will have used the 2017 regs for the class number which may or may not be correct for 2018

Just realised that I got that wrong, I should be in Class 1E group 8. I've emailed them to point out my cockup

You can't run on 1Bs in class 6, but you can in the 2 & 4 seater sports cars category. Hence the switch..

Depends whether you want to go head to head with me
TBH they may bump you up, based on it being a 2 seater sports car.
