TMS
you're in an exclusive club there, only the very best end up in there ;-) although it was rather wet when I ended up in there, wrecked an expensive pair of sparco-neck-brace-and-willans race boots when I gotout and sank up to my shins!

Yep only second time there. 1982 I think, came round the left corner too fast put the offside wheels just on the grass and got into an increasing tank slapper down the hill. I can still picture the long weeds hitting the windscreen. Then the whole front of the car came off. Chassis was bent as well. Complete rebuild followed. I was then in Minneapolis Jan Feb & Apr May but I got it ready for the following Prescott though. I phoned my Mum from the USA and got her to get hold of the Bugatti guy and arrange an entry. Happy days. I've still got the bonnet in the garden. 2 in fact Oddicombe hill climb did the other.

1981 was my first rookie season and got 1st in their historic handicap class. Big mumbles by the Aston crowd accused of going slow in practice.

Blimey that's a cheek! The only thing slower than most of the Aston lot is the speed of their event organisation! It's almost glacial!

And there was also the event where they switched the running order on the fly so that their classes where the only ones who saw a dry run

Yeah what would you do. a) novice, b) never been there before, c) trying to learn the track, d) Terry S had never seen me before so got a good h.time. Only got it sort of together on the final run.
Mind you I think he got his own back since I never got a good h.time ever again inc Curbs.

Still, the Snowdons were good eggs really. Invited me down for a weekend after my Mum & Dad had died. Carolyn passed away a couple of years ago I heard. I have also heard on the grapevine he has gone gaga nowadays, shame.

they lived local to me and I dropped something off to their home once. lovely people but the organisation was a hobby. Last time I saw him, he wasn't in the greatest of health, and that was a few years ago bless him
