Fuel injection relay

Post by scimjim » Mon Oct 09, 2017 11:43 am

I don't understand that - there is no 87a fifth terminal, it looks like the Ford relay has an additional unidentified (diode controlled) input to terminal 30? Where does that feed come from Andy?

Fuel injection relay

The diode is fed from a black wire, which is "ignition live". It appears to be there to stop the live unswitched backfeeding to the ignition controlled circuits, but I haven't studied it much, so don't take my word for it. I have send Jim a PDF of the whole circuit but not sure if it went through as it was a big PDF.

There is no point trying to teach a pig to sing. It doesn't work and it annoys the pig.
