What engine ended up in your 5a to replace the Skyline straight 6? It's putting out plenty of numbers!

Hang on, I see it says RB26 on the plot, so no change?

It’s still the RB25DET, but it’s now running two small Garret GT20 turbos. That’s at 6400 rpm and at 13 PSI boost.

Apparently there is more there but I’m happy at that, low boost and good curve should drive well

We will see..!!

So hoping for a completely different power delivery to the old single turbo producing 303 at 7000 rpm

That's a big difference, easier than an engine swap too.

Are you ruuning Megasquirt?

Great numbers - but a strange dip between 5400 and 6100 and torque drops off quite dramatically at 5100 (with a similar pickup later)?

Yep, need to work out a better way of joining the two turbos to the intercooler...

A different inlet which will allow a much shorter run will help

At least the damn thing is running now

What's the plan for the Escort / what engine has it got?

Escorts got a 4ha in the back with jag plate LSD (would normally choose quaife, but we had one) group 4 back end (so basically Scim)

Engine is still up for discussion, we had a duratec but someone needed one in a hurry so we sold it on

To be different it was going to get a clone of black beasties Essex engine with TB’s.

Current vote is normally aspirated YB to keep it with “original” (read Pinto) block. Again, likely to be whatever comes up :w

I hanker after a really naughty crossflow but dads really not bothered haha

We have a few Sierra 8v twin cam engines which use the same bellhousing and engine mounts as the Pinto/YB so May end up with one of those as a very temporary “get it driving and snag issues” kinda deal.
