What happened to these?

Post by jondwyer » Fri Apr 15, 2016 12:19 pm

A friend, Tony, told me that he used to own a pair of Scimitar GTEs, and he recently gave me a photograph (see attached).
Does anyone know if these are still running? Apparently the 6b, on the left, was a very low-mileage, one-owner example, that cost him around £5K. The 6a, on the right, was the subject of a legal dispute as, having bought the car, Tony proved that the mileometer had been 'clocked' by the dealer who sold the car.

The Se6b, according to DVLA etc, doesn't exist any more (at least under that reg) - it's not found. (or perhaps it might have been exported, and deleted from the record, rather than just recorded as "exported"?)

The Se6a is wearing a personal plate, which now appears to be on a BMW Z4, so if he wants to trace it you'll need to get the chassis number or perhaps the original reg. (if he remembers that) and see if the Se6 registrar has any info?
