24 HR "Restoration" Film - SE5a

Post by Junkyard Tom » Sun Jan 03, 2016 11:43 pm

I'm new to this forum, but I thought some of you might be interested in my film of a project to get a wrecked SE5a back on the road against the clock and on a shoestring budget.
This film is NOT for the perfectionists and you won't pick up any concourse-winning paint tips. But, as I point out in the film, I had zero budget and wanted a cool car to drive to work. And I had always fancied a Scimitar SE5 or SE5a. So on that basis, this was a completely successful project - even though it took a little longer than 24 hours! Anyway, whatever your perspective, I hope you find the film entertaining. Enjoy!

I haven't had a chance to watch this properly yet, but I very much look forward to doing so. Well done! :D

Not one for purists, but one hell of an effort. And, there's one more Scim on the road. Puts me to shame and back!

Above is a link to an absolutely mad fellow, who buys a scimitar and endeavours to restore it in 24 hours. He is mad as a hatter, but I must say, I thoroughly enjoyed his video and his optimism is utterly inspiring.

If you want a good watch, the link is attached above.

What an excellent fellow he his!

- Student loan funded light restoration.

If nice guys finish last, then that's alright; at least my conscience will be clear at the end.

Added that to my (ever expanding) watch list. Interesting as I do enjoy the shenanigans of the Roadkill mob, Wheeler Dealers, Mighty Car Mods etc. I promise I'll forget to be an editor as I do!

In the end, we all get parted out.
