It is with great sadness that I have just been informed that Dave passed away this morning .

Dave was a real gentleman and a fantastic character and RSSOC race competitor and his presence and singular wit will be sadly missed .

Dave had a one liner for every eventuality, bags of enthusiasm and I can't remember seeing him without a smile on his face.. My condolences to his family at this sad time.

just to reiterate the views of others, a great loss to everyone that knew him. As Paul said, always had a beaming smile for everyone, generally because he was just a great guy, but often because he was midst one of his infamous pranks or wind ups of which there were many! A good laugh always ensued when Dave was present.
sincere condolences to Frances for her loss and the family.

i shall miss him from the paddocks, as a true Gent, racer and one half of the SSSCs very own 'Hinge and Bracket' comedy pairing alongside Len Turner.

until we meet again at the Heavenly Hillclimb Dave

From the first time I met Dave at a Sprint event, he was friendly and encouraging and this continued through all the time I competed with the RSSOC. He was one of the establishment, who as a new-comer you tried to catch, after quickly realising there’s more to this Sprint & Hillclimbing lark than first thought.

Dave always brought plenty of humour to proceedings, when others started to take proceedings too seriously. It was a pleasure to have known him and my condolences go to Frances and the family.
