If coming from the south and you want to avoid the rip off 7 toll. I have consulted some rally friends with the knowledge.
M4 – J15, A417 birdlip, A417 to the Gloucester Ring Road, A40 to Ross-on-Wye, A49 to Hereford, A438 towards Brecon, A4111 to Kington, A44 to Crossgates (fuel!) and finally left at roundabout on A483 to Llandrindod Wells and the Metropole. Its 10 miles shorter for me than M4, A479 and no toll and only a few minutes longer.

Now: '62 Sabre 4, '63 Sabre Six, '65 SE4, '00 BMW E38 740i sport.
Prev: '53 ZephyrZodiac, '64 Sabra GT, '68 Elan S3SE, Mk3 Cortina 2000GXL, Mk4 Cortina 2000 Est, 3 SE6a's, 2 SE5a, SE4a Turbo, 1800Ti.
Company: Cav SRi, Cav SRi 130, Honda Concerto 1.6 (yuk)

Arrived at the Hotel, car park has a good number of Scimitars, just missed running over Jerry Ree, I will have to try harder. Looking forward to a great weekend, weather sunny, strange for Wales.

Regards

Kevin

I try every year at the Curborough Sprint when hes lurking in the undergrowth getting the action shots, but have only come close, between us we'll get him Kevin! ;-)

Jerry can't complain, won 2 prizes, best Scim ,and the one most would like to take hope (the car, not Jerry!). I would still keep mine.

Cracking weekend.
