Hi everyone,
Well, today I went to a local car show, not as a car club member, but as an individual exhibitor with the Bullnose, and guess what, the Bullnose was voted the best car in the non club car display, no rosette, but a very nice bottle of wine. hic, hic
So I'm well chuffed
Alan

Well dne, Alan! She certainly looked wonderful at Curbs - sadly I didn't get chance to cast a proper eye over the Bullnose - you were driving it around most of the time!

Lovely car Alan.
I am impressed on how nice all the details are. And you made my day @Curbs giving me the honour to ride with you.

The Canberra Club at BA systems Salmesbury, where we meet for our noggin, also where various other car clubs meet, the MG Octagon club arranged an event last year and invited other clubs to attend, the meet was very successful, so now the Canberra club itself decided to take control, and made all the arrangements, last I heard they are hoping to do two event a year, one early and one late in the season, more details to follow.
Also, The Preston and District Vintage Car Club which I am a member have awarded me the Restoration Award for the Bullnose this year, so well chuffed.
Regards
Alan

Hi all,
Well I have just received the award for the restoration of the Bullnose from the Preston & District Vintage Car Club, as you can see in the picture this is not a small item, June, however, has found a suitable place to display it, which is out of reach of grandchildren.
A Merry Christmas hic :pint and a prosperous new year to all.

Hi All,
Latest update on the Bullnose, the handling on the car was not good, just like driving in tram lines, so I've carried out a few adjustments and upgrades, firstly, I replaces the original shock absorbers, the Gabrial Snubbers with Andre Hartfords Friction type, secondly, I replaced my original 1986 set of Firestone tyres, they had no flexibility and the walls had gone hard. The replacement tyres are Blockleys , a 3 block tread pattern which is authentic for the cars age. Finally I managed to acquire an 1-1/4" SU bronze bodied carburettor, to replace the original Smiths 5 Jet, the car seems to be more responsive now, so we will see.
A trip to Tatton Park at the end of May for its 1st outing.
