Escutcheons - Bezels for electric Switches

Post by Jefneefs » Tue Mar 10, 2015 12:04 am

Sabra and Sabre have round escutcheons on the switches: HORN, LIGHTS, WIPER, HEATER FAN.
Far as I know not: WASHER, INDICATOR, CHOKE, DEMIST, FOGLIGHT (as there was no foglight).
Some years ago there was a man on the Antwerp jumble who sold them. He had hundreds of them, fitted nicely in a drawer.
He couldn't have sold that quantity, not in ten years, but he never showed up again.
Anyone an idea where I could find them???
Regards
Jef Neefs

Hi Jef, Presumably they look like the ones at upper left in this photo? May help others to id them :)

I think they're the same as fitted to a lot of UK classics of the same era - Rover P5, Jaguars (Mk2, E type) - as well as Coupe and SE5!

That's them, looks like André's car.
Been doing quite some searching: no find.
But I hadn't tried Rover or jaguar.
I thought I had seen them on MGB or Triumph but don't find them in parts lists.

I'm sure the fog light had one too but can't find a pic.

I'll phone them tomorrow.
Thanks, hope they have the other too.

Yes, it's a very nice burgundy coloured one. I took the photo at Bromley Pageant in 2010, but I'm afraid over the 5 years I'd forgotten the name of the car's owner.
