I have had a chat with Nigel Newth-Gibbs (founder club member & early racer) no half shaft problems ever experienced with the Salisbury axles. They are not made of old pipe cleaners like spridgets & MGA/B's.

thanks - do you know where we can get replacement ones? We would like to replace on a "lifed" basis the ones in there. Are they Triumph ones?

Definitely not Triumph. Its a Salisbury 7HA but that is only the diff part. Axle tubes and the rest of of the assembly are 'custom' for Reliant as far as I know. The gears are not made any more so replacements are second hand to start with.

I know there are cars with axle and hub issues when racing but not ours.
