Oh dear, must stop, i'm getting all flustered

DNH 50D according to Matt is chassis 0297 - which doesn't exist on the 1980 register.
On the other hand it is listed as chassis 127, owner T Howe, Towcester, Northants, car last seen in jun '95, no photo.

Trying to get through the straight sixes.

I have 'found' CAN 170D, owner G Curry of Kirkby, Merseyside
But the chassis number shown 0257 is the same as HEG 387D.
Unlikely that anyone would exchange those plates so one of them is probably chassis 0256 - but which

There is actually a photo of HEG, owner Guy Betts ...

Thanks for the confirmation, so CAN is probably 0256, which is missing.

Chris,
CAN 172D had the chassis no. 259 during my ownership and I don't see why this should have changed.

Jeff, it's not yours, it's CAN 170D :)
255 is also missing.
258 was SUR 464D, no news since 1980.

Chris, no.696 TPF601F has been spotted a few times this year by a work colleague, in Dorset. It was sold by a trader earlier this year if I recall, so could very well be it's new home (no longer Essex)

Good spot - and good photo, thanks Guy.
Already amended on register, the site photo will have to wait until I get to 'T', currently starting 'E" 8)

Not sure about this info but might be worth looking into .

Slice 86 has a letter from a Dennis Mitchell, he states that a Mr Barry Beaufort has the first Scimitar Coupe reg number CCM 1C ex Paul McCartney . He says the Chassis number in Glass,s Guide confirms this was the first Coupe Chassis number . It’s in poor condition and is for sale at £750 .

He can’t mean it’s the first Coupe as they would be B reg . Anybody got an old glass,s guide with chassis number info

If you accept that CCM1C is a personalised plate and not indicative of the car’s age, it could have been on any model - eg the first V6, the first 2.5, etc.

Interesting info in that Glass,s guide, did Paul McCartney ever own a Coupe ? I thought it was his brother Mike Mcgear
