For me, the starring role on tonight's edition of 'The Avengers' entitled 'You have just been murdered' was a white Coupe, registeration ARF 956D. Alongside this beauty, even the delectable Mrs Emma Peel paled into insignificance. This series is currently being shown on ITV4. Some great cars are featured, although I noticed that last night, Steed's Bentley did not have a windscreen wiper, tonight it did!

Steed used at least half a dozen different Bentleys, and (early on) a Vauxhall 30/98. Good viewing I agree.

For me, as a keen collector of vintage wristwatches, there has been another possible example of product placement. Many of the male members of the cast seem to sport 'Majex' wristwatches. Majex produced reasonably priced quality swiss wristwatches which are now being classed as antique. Anorak now hung up!
