Post by Yellow Peril » Mon Feb 29, 2016 11:09 pm

Hi Folks,
Is the early SE5 windscreen the same as in the SE4 Coupe?
I read somewhere that it is but just wanted to check
Thanks
Richard

If anyone has a time machine or steps through a time portal and goes to their local scrap yard - you will find that a Ford Capri Mk1 / Consul Classic or Lotus Elan +2 will fit

Not that the back end matters but the Consul Capri was the two door coupé fast back

For some reason MK1 Capri is used wrongly(?) for the original Consul Capri as every one thinks of a MK1 Capri being the first Capri of the later shape.
Capri was a version of the Consul - Ski pants and package holidays later the name Capri was use for the New Model in its own right

not the Mk1 capri, it wont fit, you need to find a Classic capri, the one with the anglia type back window, not the 1970s one,

Consul Capri & Consul classic (same front windscreen in both) - bumpers are also stolen from them.

That would be for the Scimitar Coupé both front and rear?

They seem to have had the ends cut off to get the width right on the front - no wrap around
rear front.jpg
what are the chances of this composition to show the same bumper!

What are the SE5 front quarter/ corner bumpers cut down from then? Folk lore in my day was they were escort van ........but they don't have the same splay at the end of the wrap around.
