I hadn't heard of a third V8 built by Duncan, that would be interesting.
He hasn't been on the forum for years, is he on faecesbook?

Just to Clarify Duncan didn’t build any V8 Coupes . Don’t know who built NRF but they supposedly built 2 others , supposedly at the same time? Also don’t know who built Duncan’s Supercharged coupe either .

As a matter of interest what is a Tiger axle?

Sunbeam Tiger was based on the Sunbeam Alpine . The Tiger had a 4.2 and later a 4.7 litre Ford V8 engine . The standard rear axle was not strong enough so the tiger used a 4HA axle with a 2.88-1 rear end ratio . So a tiger axle is about the same width as a Coupe axle and by using the Watts linkage from a SE5/5a and modifying the tiger axle mountings it’s a perfect axle replacement . Best thing is the flange for the backplates is the same so Scimitar brakes fit and the hubs on the halfshafts can be changed to Scimitar as well . The Sunbeam used a Ford 4 stud pcd .
Many Alpines have been turned into Tigers over the years so axles are I high demand and nobody scraps a Tiger now days as work too much . Can’t remember last time I saw a Tiger axle for sale . Probably name your own price .
