No Jim, that's another car altogether, this one really was a Reliant prototype.

If that's he red coupe HOO 465B then it's not a prototype. I was thought to be, but again it was another one with a modified front nose cone. It's actually a Rover P6 front nose panel, which is metal...

There's a Rover P6 nose panel for sale here so you can see what it looks like: https://www.ebay.co.uk/i/323561254693?chn=ps

Oh bum, I'm getting more and more confused.
Ok, the red car was sold in '10 which I hadn't noted and the front panel is off a Rover.
But according to Glass's Guide production started at chassis 0010 so all cars before that were some sort of prototype ... :?

I can search ScimWeb too 8)
http://www.scimitarweb.co.uk/sgwrs/view ... =hwd#p4385
So photos of HOO were shortly before its sale in '08-'09, and the constructor never got round to fitting a radiator grill.
Or bumper - were Rover P6 bumpers difficult to source?

Chassis 0164 was HFU 244D which disappeared in '91 so probably scrapped as Erik says.
Just noticed HOO was sold to Holland the same year, and had the same dutch owner ...

The ex Chris Lloyd car GJY 598F is still around, now reg DH-96-66

I wonder if Reliant sold it with the 'development' nose or a normal one.
That photo doesn't look like it dates from the sixties?
Photo taken around 2010/2011. Perhaps even by me :D or the seller. This is in Enschede, the Netherlands. It should have been sold inside NL.

Update on the 'Strange Nose' car: It was a bodged up mod. No prototype. Taken apart for parts by Geert van Hout, as confirmed by Geert to me.

5 FGY Was a S6 Coupe 1980 Mr PD Young , South Woodham Ferrers circa 1980 on the road , number plate now on a Vauxhall

Car FWB 144H is confirmed by DVLA site as Red Scimitar . You have some confusion on chassis number 985

No confusion about FWB 144H. It was Bev Fawkes car with BGF 900G as its private plate. It’s back to it original plate now and I assume Blue Thunder will have Bevs plate if it ever goes on the road.....
