clutch problem

Post by philynnbob » Thu Aug 03, 2017 8:22 am

Hi Nick
Have a look at the MK 111 Zodiac forum for clutch details and advice.
As there are two different friction plate thickness available and of course different pressure plate depth set up.
Also ensure your thrust bearing carrier has the correct shoulder to stop it pushing through the bearing ( I have had to recently change the one that came loose in the spares supplied with my car as I missed this) giving same symptoms as you describe.
Cheers Phil

PS were you able to remove gearbox on it's own with engine in situ?

engine in situ.
To be fair - it's at the menders - I'm not doing it.

Having to have the radiator re-cored. The original one. 51 years old. I ask you, nothing lasts these days...
