Refitting windscreen

My windscreen isn't stuck down along the bottom or corners, but otherwise OK.
I've got someone coming to have a look and quote to refit tomorrow, just wondering if there's anything I should know beforehand.
I think the current one is marked Solaglas(??), is that likely to be the original?

Fairly standard modern glazing methods employed so should be no trouble. You will likely be warned that it may not come out in one piece however if still bonded around the top and sides. I've cut them out with the appropriate gear before and not had a problem.

Expect to pay about 50-80 quid for a refit. Sort of money that makes it not worth doing yourself, otherwise the cutting wires, primer solution and bonding mastic can be had for less than that.

Had it replaced today whilst I was at work by some very good fitters.

Screen had definitely been replaced at some point in the past...and very badly.

Only one corner of the screen had every been attached properly, and it's a miracle it made it from Glasgow to Hull on a trailer without falling off.

The inner rubber trim had also been put on back to front by whoever did it last time.

"Why are you taking photos of that manky old bit of glue?"
